On Wednesday, the Parliamentary Committee for Special Services heard information about the safety of transports with military aid for Ukraine passing through Poland and the security of the hub in Jasionka near Rzeszów – Marek Biernacki (PSL-TD) told PAP.

– We remember about the illegal arms warehouse discovered in the middle of the year on the border with Ukraine in Laszki (Podkarpackie Voivodeship), so we decided to find out how to secure the transfer of military aid sent to Ukraine. – Biernacki explained to PAP on Wednesday after the committee meeting.
– We discussed how the transports are secured and the stockpiles of these weapons with representatives of the Chief Commander of the Police, the Central Police Investigation Bureau and the deputy head of the Military Counterintelligence Service, Krzysztof Dusza, and the officer directly handling these matters at the Military Counterintelligence Service – he said.
He emphasized that the committee was familiarized with information about securing transports going to Jasionka and further to Ukraine, but also provided with the current status of the proceedings regarding the illegal hub in Laszki.
– Of course, proceedings are ongoing in this matter, but based on these irregularities, the entire system was sealed and now everything should be safe. Unfortunately, that's all I can say about it, Biernacki noted.
He added that the Military Counterintelligence Service informed the MPs that during the meeting of the President of Poland with soldiers at the hub in Jasionka, officers of the Military Counterintelligence Service were not allowed to attend, or in fact were asked to leave..
Biernacki explained that they wanted to present to the president the entire security status of this facility and the security of the tasks for which they are responsible.
– My opinion is that it's surprising. The president keeps saying that he has no contact and no information from the services. If it turns out that the services want to present such information, the head of the local SKW inspectorate and other officers responsible for Jasionka's security are asked to leave this meeting, he said.
At the end of May, unattended containers with weapons and ammunition were found in a hangar at the airport of the Yaroslavl Aero Club in Laszki, Podkarpacie. It was then reported that the weapon did not belong to the Polish army. During the investigation, it turned out that these anti-aircraft weapons – launchers and ammunition – came from a private company ATC HUB legally operating in Poland, with a license for arms trade, but not for storage, and had been stored there since December 2024.
The investigation of the Internal Security Agency and the Central Police Investigation Bureau was taken over by the Rzeszów Podkarpackie branch of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor's Office from the Przemyśl district prosecutor's office.
In addition to Biernacki, the seven-person commission for secret services includes chairman Kazimierz Plocke (KO), his two deputies – Zbigniew Konwiński (KO) and Krzysztof Tuduj (Konfederation), and commission members: Waldemar Andzel (PiS) and Mirosław Suchoń (Polska 2050).
Since December 4, the seventh seat in the committee has been empty, previously occupied by the deputy speaker and current speaker of the Sejm, Włodzimierz Czarzasty (Left Wing). (PAP)
