The Krasnoyarsk resident who started the shooting on Lyuba Shevtsova Street was sent to a pre-trial detention center

In Krasnoyarsk, he took into custody a 39-year-old man who started shooting on Lyuba Shevtsova Street. He is suspected of attempted murder of his wife and two other women.

Let us remind you that, according to investigators, on the evening of December 15, the couple were drinking and quarreled. The woman ran out into the street, and the man followed her, armed with a Baikal gun. In the courtyard of the house, he fired twice into the air – the bullets hit the windows of the house where women aged 30 and 45 were located.

“The man’s actions created a real threat to the life and health of those nearby. The criminal intent was not completed due to circumstances beyond his control – his actions were stopped by law enforcement,” reports the press service of the prosecutor’s office.

The suspect has a previous conviction and does not have an official job. The family has two minor children. The man refused to testify.

The decision to take the shooter into custody was explained in court by the fact that “social restraining factors (the presence of a spouse and children) did not prevent him from committing a particularly serious crime.” In addition, he can hide from the investigation and put pressure on the family. He will spend in the pre-trial detention center at least until February 15, 2026.
