For open theft of alcohol from three stores, a resident of Kansk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, was sentenced to a year of forced labor.
According to the police, the crimes were committed this summer:
“The man visited stores on his way home while drunk. Defiantly following a targeted route “entrance – refrigerator – exit,” he took several bottles or cans of beer and then, ignoring the seller who was running after him and trying to stop him, disappeared from the place.”
After his arrest, a previously convicted 42-year-old man explained in his own defense that he was motivated to commit crimes by being heavily intoxicated and hot weather. At the same time, because of his drunken courage, he believed every time that he was acting secretly and no one could see him.
He fully compensated the damage to the injured parties and is currently serving the sentence imposed on him by the court for three episodes of Part 1 of Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Robbery” in a correctional center.
