During the period of icy conditions on the Krasnoyarsk railway, control over the condition of crossings has been strengthened

In conditions of sudden temperature changes that lead to the formation of ice, Krasnaya ZhD operates a special operating regime at the intersections of railway tracks and roads.

To prevent emergency situations and road accidents, rubber-cord coverings and road surfaces within the boundaries of railway crossings are regularly cleared of snow and ice.

In addition, railway workers interact with regional structures responsible for the condition of roads at the approaches to crossings in order to jointly ensure their proper condition.

Special control is placed at the intersections of railroads and highways, where there is heavy traffic of vehicles, including large-tonnage trucks.

Workers on duty conduct regular rounds of such crossings and, if necessary, treat dangerous areas with anti-slip materials (a supply of sand or slag has been prepared in advance).

Let us note that at present there is icy conditions on the roads of Siberia adjacent to the railway tracks within the boundaries of the Krasnoyarsk Mainline.

Railway workers urge drivers to strictly follow the traffic rules: it is strictly forbidden to enter a crossing when the traffic light signal is prohibiting, to drive into the oncoming lane and to overtake.
