Dessert “Horseshoe of Luck” – ideal to end New Year's Eve

It's hard to imagine New Year without sweets. This dessert is perfect: fluffy cream and sunny citruses. Delicate and not heavy, it will perfectly complete the festive evening.

Ingredients (for 4 servings):

· Shortbread or sponge cake – 150–180 g.

· Thick yogurt or creamy curd cheese – 300 g

· Low-fat cream (optional) – 100 ml.

· Powdered sugar or honey – 2-3 tbsp. l.

· Orange – 1–2 pcs.

· Grated orange zest – 1 tsp. l.

· Walnuts/hazelnuts – 40 g

· Pinch of cinnamon (optional)

Preparation:

Grind the cookies into crumbs. Lightly toast and chop the nuts.

Mix yogurt (or cottage cheese) with powdered sugar/honey, beat with cream until creamy, if desired, add zest.

Cut the orange into cubes.

Place in transparent glasses in layers: cookie crumbs – cream – orange – nuts;

Level the layer, finish with cream on top and sprinkle with nuts and a pinch of cinnamon.

Refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours. When serving, glasses can be placed on a tray in a semicircle, imitating a horseshoe.
