Approximately 100 people are participating in the strike, TESA drivers and staff, from the two unions: the Constanța Free Transport Union and the Constanța Professional Union of Transporters of Related Activities, writes Ziarul Amprenta.
Public transport buses do not run. The cited publication pointed out that alternative transport prices have exploded.
Bogdan Gheorghe, the leader of the Professional Union of Transporters and Related Activities says that today's protest is the result of several grievances accumulated over time.
“Today the cup of discontent has been filled. The announced layoffs are one of the factors, but the discontent is related to the non-compliance with the collective labor agreement, the lack of parts, the lack of money and all the tensions that have accumulated over time.
We hope to find a way to resolve the issues of CT Bus employees today. I wish the buses would go on the route, but that would mean a solution to our problems“, said Bogdan Gheorghe.
The director of CT Bus, Fănel Popa, called the representatives of the employees for discussions, writes Radio Constanța.
