According to media reports, more than fifty people, mostly young, took part in the event.
The published photos show that the picket participants are holding posters with the captions: “No blocking,” “Bring back Roblox,” “Blockings and bans are all you can do?”
One of the mothers praised the game, saying that it develops thinking and requires the simultaneous use of both hands, which was not easy even for an adult. Another participant called the blocking the main news. At the same time, there was also criticism: some were outraged by the popularity of a foreign product and called it “disgraceful,” others said that such measures only taught children to use VPN.
The picket was organized by local activist Anton Isakov. Security forces detained two participants in the event. One of them was taken to the police station on suspicion of displaying extremist symbols. Russian propagandists did not specify which one.
The media writes that Roskomnadzor blocked the Roblox gaming platform on December 3 due to the “distribution of prohibited content on the platform.”
