Vasile Bănescu, former spokesman of the Romanian Patriarchate and now a member of the National Audiovisual Council (CNA), published a message on Facebook on Sunday in which he vehemently criticizes people whom he accuses of denigrating “an ethical approach”, in a context marked by debates and protests related to the state of justice in Romania.
Bănescu claims that “the caricature and denigration of a fundamental ethical approach to the healing of the social sphere” shows the “disgusting face of the detractors” and “loyalty to a morally fetid area”, while “mimics care for the public good”.
“To be vehemently opposed to correcting some things on which the proper functioning of the social body and our daily life depends, you slander exactly the honest people who courageously assume real risks to publicly defend the truth and mediate the correction of the crooked, says everything about the boundless abjection of the foaming at the mouth slanderers”, wrote Bănescu.
“Mercenaries of causes foreign to the interests of the country”
“Who are they? Already well-known, established as detractors of reality and truth. Let us look closely at them!
Masked politicians, mercenaries of causes foreign to the country's interests, upstarts and moral contortionists with the air of a cultural commissar, assumed pro-Russian propagandists, older or newer pelts, former security guards with the title of “journalists”. Sowers of profitable disorder, impostors from all walks of life closely united around injustice.
All connected in one way or another to big oligarchs beneficiaries of the multi-storeyed national disorder and carefully cultivated under the guise of efforts mentioned morgue in front of journalists and put at the service of the crookedly faithful people, who, poor, have come to perceive things upside down and let themselves be manipulated happily, trusting in pranksters with messianic airs who will come to save those awakened in consciousness.
Godot is close,” continued the former spokesman of the Romanian Patriarchate.
According to him, Romania can only get out of the “multiform chaos” through the “firm and sustained involvement of those elected to fulfill what they promised” and through the “massive solidarity of lucid people”.
“Their absence is fatal. Order is vital!”, concluded Vasile Bănescu.
The statements come in the context in which the Recorder published, on Tuesday evening, the documentary “Captured Justice”, about the state of the Romanian justice system, the phenomenon of statutes of limitations, but also the effects of the centralization of power at the level of “some magistrates who coexist with politicians”.
Since Wednesday evening, protests have taken place in the country every day. Thousands of people protested on Saturday evening in the Capital, in Piața Victoriei, where the demonstrators chanted, among other things, “Resignation, Savonea!”, “Justice, not corruption!” and “You change complete, like socks.”
900 magistrates announced that they stand in solidarity with the professionals who “had the courage to report the problems and pressures in the justice system”.
Recorder announced that on Sunday evening it will publish an interview with judge Raluca Moroșanu, who stood in solidarity with a magistrate who appeared in the documentary “Captured Justice”, at the beginning of the press conference held by the heads of the Bucharest Court of Appeal.
