The ceremony took place in the Great Government Hall. It was attended by children from the Taimyr Dolgano-Nenets, Mansko-Uyarsky, Yenisei, Kozulsky, Bogotolsky, Achinsky, Nazarovsky, Irbeysko-Sayansky, Sosnovoborsky, Kansky, North Yenisei, Kuraginsky, Rybinsky, Shushensky districts, as well as the closed administrative town of Solnechny, Zheleznogorsk, Zelenogorsk, Krasnoyarsk and Divnogorsk. “All the guys are excellent students, participants in creative competitions and sports competitions, and activists in volunteer movements. In addition to the passport, the boys and girls received a copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation and a cover for the main document in the colors of the First Movement,” the government said.
Mikhail Kotyukov noted the children’s determination and achievements, congratulated them on the beginning of a new important stage in life, wished them never to stop there and thanked their parents and mentors.
At the ceremony, schoolchildren uttered phrases of a solemn promise of allegiance to Russia: “I, receiving a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, with an open heart and pure thoughts, solemnly promise: to remain faithful to the Russian Federation and to be a worthy citizen of my great country. I promise to faithfully and devotedly serve the Fatherland, protect its interests, security and independence.”
