Starting next season, the KHL may be replenished with a new team – Tula AKM.
As the regional sports minister Mikhail Trunov told Mash, the club’s management is working to ensure that Tula AKM gets into the league. At the same time, they will not transfer from the All-Russian team – they will create a new team. If this happens, the hockey players will have a new sponsor – a plastic company.
The last time the KHL expanded was in 2023. Then the Tolyatti team “Lada” returned to the league six years later.
