“I think we have to regret the result. We started the game very well, but there are times when every mistake causes quite a lot of pain. The opponent took the lead just 10 minutes after our goal.
We didn't control the situation in the best way, but then we took control of the game until the end. Our actions were not precise enough, but I have no reason to blame the players”, said Xabi Alonso, according to sportal.bg.
The coach pointed to numerous injuries as a factor in the lack of confidence shown by the team.

“When you're in a delicate situation and you have so many injuries, you feel more insecure. That's why the opponents quickly managed to turn the tide of the match – they're a strong team. We allowed few chances at our goal, but we lost. When things don't go your way, you create chances but you don't make them happen,” he added.
Asked about his future, in the context in which departure was discussed before the match, Xabi Alonso was categorical: “It's not about me. I'm focused on Real Madrid's next match, that's important“.
