The Koala tanker with 130k tons of fuel oil ran aground in the port of Ust-Luga, Leningrad Region. Shortly before this, it was loaded, but then the ship began to sink – right before sailing.
The tanker ran aground – the remaining parts of the vessel above the water were visually without damage, the entire crew was evacuated. Divers are now waiting on site to examine the hull underwater. The issue of initiating a case is being decided.
