After retiring from handball, Cristina Neagu (37 years old) left Romania and started devoting much more time to traveling.
The best handball player in Romania's recent history put an end to a sensational career at the beginning of the summer. On June 8, at the Multipurpose Hall in Bucharest, it took place the withdrawal match.

Now, the former athlete chose to relax on a luxury vacation in the United States, where the former handball player visited Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
She also recently went to Hawaii, where she was impressed by the beauty of the place. She also explored the Grand Canyon.

Cristina Neagu: “I can wake up and think about what I want to do today”
A few months ago, she gave an interview in which she told what her new life looks like.
“I don't miss handball at all. As much as I love handball, I really don't miss it at all. During this period I was able to spend more time with my family and simply not be on the schedule anymore.
To be able to wake up and think about what I want to do today, without having to be somewhere at a certain time. To go to the gym, to grab those bandages again, pain again, warm up. Of course I did them with pleasure.
I loved handball very much and I still love it, but I also love life after handball. I love not being on schedule anymore, making decisions at the moment. I also like life without sports, although I still go to the gym sometimes and will certainly continue to exercise. I have no regrets, it was the right decision. I had a dream career. Maybe I didn't even dream of something like this, when I was little and I proposed big things”, said Cristina Neagu, quoted by as.ro.
