Liverpool manager Arne Slot is in danger. The Dutchman has until the end of the year to get the team out of the crisis.

Liverpool is delaying its exit from the crisis, and manager Arne Slot's chair is shaking more and more. The club bosses gave him the deadline until the end of the year to put things right, and as the change of manager is delayed, the press speculates on his successor.

Steven Gerrard is out of contract and available

More recently, after the star Mohamed Salah revealed the strained relationship he has with the Dutch technician, the British newspapers brought the former great player of the “cormorants”, Steven Gerrard, into discussion for the technical bench.

Out of contract, Gerrard recently rejected an offer from Rangers and, due to his past at the reigning English champions, is considered the best solution, at least until the end of the season. Liverpool chiefs want Julian Nagelsmann, but he could only become available in the summer after he leads Germany at the 2026 World Cup, hosted by Mexico, USA and Canada.

The initial option was Jurgen Klopp, until the summer, followed by Luis Enrique

Jurgen Klopp and Luis Enrique were initially talked about. Former manager of Liverpool for 9 years, between 2015 and 2024, the German technician has been working for the Red Bull concern since January, as “global head of football”.

He would then return to “Anfield Road” until the summer, to bring the team out of crisis”, before handing over the baton to Luis Enrique, in the long term. The variant, revealed by the tabloids The Sun and Daily Mail, is not excluded, but is considered “unlikely”.

Mohamed Salah, for sale at 70 million euros

Mohamed Salah's situation is not good either. The fact that he came out in front of the press and went “out of the house”, stating that he had a bad relationship with Arne Slot and that someone at the club no longer wanted him, did not go down well with Liverpool bosses.

And despite a contract due in 2027, extended only in the spring, a transfer in January is increasingly likely. The “Cormorants” set his price, 70 million euros, and are waiting for an offer from Saudi Arabia – announces the Daily Star tabloid.
