A political scientist's warning: “In the Russian Federation, the signs of a masked general mobilization are multiplying”

The Russian Federation has felt the weakness of the trans-Atlantic relationship and stands like a predator at the turn, ready to “bite”, claims political scientist Radu Carp. There are signs of a general mobilization in the big cities of Russia.

Political scientist Radu Carp sounds the alarm: “In the Russian Federation, the signs of a general covert mobilization are multiplying. All the information converges in the same direction: in the big cities, such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, checks are carried out against “illegal migration” – in fact, to identify those who have not satisfied the military service.”
All information converges in the same direction: the Kremlin is preparing something far-reaching.
The teacher points out that Russia has achieved a result “like never before since 1991”: creating a very deep divergence between the US and Europe and aligning the current administration in Washington on an orbit in which the partisans of a partnership at the level of Great Powers find themselves”.
This great power discourse, “seductive” to adherents of a “pragmatic, realistic, business-only” approach, gives Russia room to maneuver and encourages risky calculations.
“There is no form of aggression that the Russian Federation is not currently practicing”
“What is Russia really after?”asks the teacher.
According to Carp, in Ukraine Russia pursues a maximal goal: “just surrender”. With regard to Europe, the objective is not yet explicit, but can be inferred from the nature of the war the Kremlin is currently waging.
The teacher describes, on Facebook, a lethal combination: “Un war of maneuver, through advances in different regions in Ukraine”; “a war of attrition, as we saw in Pokrovsk”; “a continuous escalation, through attacks on energy infrastructure, transport routes, food and pharmaceutical warehouses”; “hybrid warfare and sabotage operations in all European states, without exception”.
He concludes unequivocally: “There is no form of aggression that the Russian Federation is not currently practicing.”
“Hundreds of drones will cross Romania's southeastern border”
Russia aims to provoke controlled incidents on the territory of NATO member states. The goal, says Carp, is for them to demonstrate that “in fact, the North Atlantic Alliance is useless”.
The context is all the more dangerous because, as he points out, “The US has announced very clearly that they will not get involved; on the contrary, by 2027 they will completely withdraw from Europe.”
Thus, warns Carp, “there won't be a single drone crossing Romania's southeastern border, from Tulcea to Bacău. There will be several hundred, simultaneously.”
And the scenario is not limited to Romania: “The borders of Poland, Finland, the Baltic States will be penetrated daily… by causing minor incidents, the amount of which will be worth considering.“
Without the support of the United States, “the response of these countries will be rather modest”he warns.
“Russia smelled the blood”
Can such a scenario be avoided? Carp's response is grim: “Unfortunately, there are no signs of optimism.”
According to the political scientist, Russia has “smelled the blood” the weakening of the transatlantic link and immediately takes advantage: “The Russian Federation has felt the weakness of the trans-Atlantic relationship and stands like a predator at the turn, ready to bite, to tear, to satisfy its need to prove that it is a formidable opponent.”
Europe is heading, he says, towards “the sign of a new type of war, totally and apparently without stakes”. “Are we ready?” – Carp wonders.
This alarm signal that should ring in all European capitals.
