When you don't have time to bake, but want something truly festive, an old but ingenious trick comes to the rescue: baked bananas in a chocolate crust with nuts. This is not just a dessert, but a quick, flourless and almost sugar-free dessert that looks like it was prepared by a pastry chef.
You will need:
4 ripe bananas
2 tbsp. spoons of cocoa powder without sugar
1 tbsp. spoon of honey or maple syrup
3 tbsp. tablespoons grated coconut or finely chopped walnuts
pinch of salt
a little butter or coconut oil for greasing the pan
How to cook:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Peel the bananas and carefully cut them in half lengthwise, not all the way, to create a “boat”.
- In a bowl, mix cocoa, honey, a pinch of salt and 1 teaspoon of warm water to a thick paste.
- Spread this chocolate mixture inside each banana boat.
- Sprinkle grated coconut or nuts on top.
- Place bananas on a baking sheet lined with parchment or greased with oil.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly caramelized and nuts are golden.
Serve warm.
Bon appetit!
This dessert does not contain flour, does not require kneading dough and is quick to prepare.
