Marcel Ciolacu bragged about Autostrada Moldovei after voting in Buzău. “It brought and brings many opportunities”

Marcel Ciolacu, the former prime minister of Romania, who is running for the position of president of the Buzău County Council, voted at 9:00 a.m.

Marcel Ciolacu, former prime minister and former president of the PSD, voted on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in the municipality of Buzău. Marcel Ciolacu is running for the position of president of the Buzău County Council and declared at the polls that Buzău needs a different pace of development.

“Buzău needs a development plan, a new rhythm, experience, determination and a lot of common sense. I think that the Moldovian Highway has brought and brings many opportunities for Buzău. We must get involved and not miss these opportunities. I believe in a better future and a better life in the city of Buzău”stated Ciolacu.

Buzoians are expected to vote on Sunday to elect their new president of the County Council, a position left vacant after the former incumbent, Lucian Romașcanu, became a member of the European Court of Auditors on July 1, 2024. Until the election is held, the institution's duties have been temporarily taken over by vice-president Adrian Petre.

The parties that registered candidates are PSD, AUR, PNL–USR (local alliance), ACT, SOS Romania, POT and PRM. An independent is also in the race.
