Zakharova announces “tough retaliatory measures”
— The European Union has transformed not only into an illegal institution, but also into a kind of gang that legalizes absolutely bandit ideas and decisions, said Maria Zakharova, quoted by TASS, commenting on the idea of the EU.
The spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that any use of the frozen funds would be contrary to the law and noted that Belgium, which opposed this method of financing Ukraine, had a similar opinion.
Zakharova announced that if Europe takes such a step, Russia will take “tough retaliatory measures.” — If these actions are committed, if there are attempts at banditry and seizure of Russian assets, then yes, I can confirm that retaliatory measures will indeed be used, he said, adding that “it will not be just a verbal response. There will be both statements and practical actions.”
