Zbigniew Ziobro's European tour. First Budapest, then Brussels
His departure to Hungary coincided with the decision of the Sejm, which at the beginning of November lifted his immunity and consented to his detention and temporary arrest. The prosecutor's office accuses him of 26 crimes related to the Justice Fund, including leading an organized criminal group.
So far, no European Arrest Warrant has been issued for Ziobro because the court has not yet decided to arrest him. It is worth recalling that earlier Marcin Romanowski, a former deputy minister of justice from PiS, was also granted asylum in Hungary, also accused of irregularities regarding the Justice Fund.

What do Poles say about this? Results of the latest survey
In a SW Research study for Onet, Poles were asked the question: “Do you think that Zbigniew Ziobro's trip to Hungary is a burden on PiS's image?”

Only 19.9 percent people claim that the situation does not constitute any burden for PiS.
The remaining 20.4 percent respondents have no opinion on this matter.
The survey was carried out on December 2-3, 2025 by the SW Research agency on behalf of Onet using the online interview method (CAWI – Computer-Assisted Web Interview) on the SW Panel online panel. As part of the study, 828 surveys were conducted with a nationwide sample of adults. Quota sampling was used – the sample was representative in terms of the total distribution of gender, age and size class of the place of residence.
