Military service is gradually returning across Europe: Croatia among the countries
Croatian President Zoran Milanovic said:

Our reserve consists of aging people – on average almost 50 years old. Without people, without soldiers, there is no army. This is best seen today in Ukraine. Without this, the army does not exist. We need to talk about reinstating compulsory military service.

Previously, Lithuania approved conscription for nine months of compulsory military service after finishing school. The Serbian authorities also support the return of military conscription, the Prime Minister said.
