FC Arges – Rapid 2-1. Pitesti have reached 6 points and are one step away from qualifying for the quarterfinals of the Romanian Betano Cup. Instead, the people from Giulești must beat CFR Cluj in the last round to move on, as the Transylvanians will get at least one point with Metaloglobus.

FC Argeș won against Metaloglobus in the first stage, score 3-2. After the victory with Rapid, he reached 6 points, and in the last round he will face Dumbrăvița.

Calculations: FC Argeș, at one mathematical qualification point in the quarters, in which case Rapid or CFR Cluj would be OUT

FC Argeș needs one more point to qualify for the quarter-finals without depending on the results of the other matches in the group.

Thus, if it does not lose against Dumbrăvița, in February, FC Argeș will have the quarter-finals secured in the Romanian Cup. With 7 points, they could no longer fall below 2nd place. In this case, one of Rapid and CFR Cluj will be eliminated.

Fast, low chance of qualifying for the quarters

After the failure with FC Argeș, Rapid has little chance to qualify for the quarterfinals. If CFR Cluj gets at least one point with Metaloglobus, then the people from Giulești are obliged to win against the Transylvanians in order to move on. Without victory in the last round, qualification will be compromised for the people of Giulești.

CFR Cluj – Rapid will take place in February, in the last stage of the group.

Transylvania would be eliminated from the Cup if they lose to Rapid and if FC Argeș gets at least a draw with Dumbrăvița.
