Romania qualified with two points in the main group of the Women's Handball World Championship. The “tricolors” lost in the duel with Denmark, score 31-39.
Sonia Seraficeanu, from the Rotterdam camp: “We lack tactical discipline”
In the dialogue with GSP reporters, Sonia drew a slightly bitter conclusion: “They are big teams, we are talking about big teams, experienced players who make the difference.” He also mentioned the aspect that Romanian handball players still have to work on.
“We lack tactical discipline. The problem of children's groups is no longer a problem. It depends on our self-discipline, on communication between us, on establishing some rules in attack and defense.
I think they can be adjusted, but when fatigue and the pressure of results intervene, it's a little harder to control yourself”, believes Seraficeanu.
The failure suffered against the Nordics has already been overcome.
It's not something new, I think we are professional enough to overcome a lost match. You analyze a little, but you are aware that there are other, much more important matches to come. The one with Denmark was the icing on the cake. It was a real test for us. We saw where we really are.

All attention is now directed towards Hungary, Romania's known opponent. At Euro 2024, in a match played in Debrecen, in a hostile atmosphere, the Hungarians prevailed 37-29.
Extrema Romania knows what to expect on Wednesday: “Incendiary! It's gonna be a fight, fight, fight! I think this match is something special, but everyone manages their emotions in their own way”.
Sonia Seraficeanu, about life at a final tournament
The “most beautiful time” of the year, as the days spent in the camp for the final tournaments were called by Lorena Ostase, offers little free time.
Seraficeanu revealed her little pleasures: 1 I read, I started learning French. I still watch movies. Outside of handball, I like walking, going shopping, cycling”.
Everyone is happy to participate in a World Championship. As I said before, every tournament has a different story. We enjoy being together, playing together. Besides, Christmas is coming!
