Warming ginger drink – I make it in a mug in 7 minutes from what I have in the kitchen

December is a time of short days, the first frosts and fatigue from the year. Instead of coffee and sweets, I want something warm and aromatic. This drink not only warms you up, but also supports your immune system, relieves heaviness after dinner and helps you fall asleep peacefully. It is prepared in a mug and every housewife has everything she needs.

You will need:

Water – 300 ml
Fresh ginger – 1 thin slice
Honey – 1 tsp.
Lemon – 2 slices
Pinch of cinnamon
Star anise or clove – 1 pc.

How to cook:

  • Pour boiling water into a mug.
  • Add thinly sliced ginger, lemon slices, cinnamon and spices.
  • Cover with a saucer and let it brew for 5-7 minutes – this is enough for the drink to become aromatic, but not sharp.
  • Take out the ginger and lemon, add honey and stir.

Ginger improves blood circulation and fights the first signs of a cold. Lemon provides vitamin C, and honey soothes.

Make this drink in the evening after work or in the morning instead of coffee.

Warm evenings this winter!
