Viking Stavanger won the title in Norway after a 34 year break! With 22 wins, 5 draws and 3 defeats, the team coached by Bjarte Lunde Aarsheim surpassed the defending champion, Bodo/Glimt, by one point.
The title was awarded in the last stage, when Viking beat Valerenga at home, 5-1, reaching 71 points. The podium was completed by Tromso, who finished the season with 57 points, one ahead of Brann. Haugesund and Stromsgodset are directly relegated, and Bryne will play the first-tier play-off.
