A girl contracted botulism after Botox in Makhachkala
Rospotrebnadzor has identified a case of botulism infection in a cosmetology salon. To correct facial wrinkles in a beauty salon in Makhachkala, located in the Grand Plaza shopping center, botulinum toxin injections with the unregistered drug Refinex were used.
A few days later, the patient experienced dizziness, blurred vision, weakness in the limbs, ptosis (drooping) of the eyelid, and difficulty breathing and swallowing.
