
Culinary blogger Oksana Pashko shared her recipe for a light and delicious salad with Chinese cabbage and crab sticks. The salad turns out so tasty that the household literally sweeps it off the table in a matter of seconds and immediately asks for more. This is an excellent choice for both a festive feast and an everyday menu.
To prepare this dish you will need the following ingredients:
— Beijing cabbage — 300 g;
— Crab sticks — 250 g;
— Eggs — 3 pieces;
— Cucumber — 1 piece;
— Cheese — 130 g;
— Onion — 1 head;
— Sugar — 1 tsp;
– Salt – half a teaspoon;
— Vinegar (9%) — 1 tbsp;
– Boiling water – half a glass;
— Mayonnaise — 150 g;
– Green onions – to taste for decoration.
Step by step recipe:
The first step is to prepare the onions. Cut it into small cubes and marinate, putting it in a separate container, adding salt, sugar, vinegar and pour boiling water over it all. Mix well until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved and leave for 5-7 minutes.
While the onions are pickling, take half a small head of Chinese cabbage, place it cut side down, make several cuts along the head and cut into thin strips. Then boil the eggs hard and grate them on a coarse grater.
Also cut the cucumbers and crab sticks into cubes, and grate the cheese on a fine grater. For convenience, it is better to transfer the mayonnaise into a pastry bag.
Now let's start assembling the salad. Place Chinese cabbage on a serving dish, lightly salt it and spread a mayonnaise mesh on top. The next layer will be crab sticks, on top of which pickled onions are placed (after draining the excess liquid). This layer is also smeared with mayonnaise. Next, lay out pieces of cucumbers, then eggs, which are covered with another mesh of mayonnaise. The finishing touch will be grated cheese and finely chopped green onions.
