Bogdan Andone praises the CFR: “The change of coach brought them a plus, but the value was already there”
Bogdan Andone, the “purple eagles” technician, spoke cautiously about the duel with CFR Cluj, revealing that the preparation for the match was not ideal, taking into account the adverse weather conditions:
“We are meeting a very good team, coming off two consecutive wins. Their clear success from the last stage (No. 3-0 vs. Rapid) shows the shape it is in. The change of coach gave them a boost, but the individual value of the players was already there.
They have offensive players capable of deciding the match at any moment. We have to be focused, aggressive, attentive to every detail. We want to apply pressure, be more effective in front of goal and take advantage of the fact that we are playing at home.
It was a delicate week. The training grounds suffered, but we found solutions and the boys prepared well. Mentally I am OK, with good attitude and enthusiasm. We look forward to the game with confidence.
I'm sorry for the matches with Rapid and Universitatea Craiova, because the boys worked hard. With Craiova we had 13 corners, we created situations (…), but I have great confidence in the group. I know how they train, I know how much desire they have”, said Andone, according to arges-sport.ro.
“In the Super League, you can't afford to relax. Last season, a team close to the play-offs was relegated. Two years ago, the same. Every point weighs enormously. We have to be careful until the last stage”, added the coach of the newly promoted team.
We have some players who are still not fully fit (no. Radescu, Blagaic). Those coming back from injury are not ready for 90 minutes, but we will assess them before the game. Otherwise most guys are available.
It is essential that those who enter from the bench do it with a good attitude, to make an impact. We have a competitive squad and I'm sure whoever comes in will do their job.
– Bogdan Andone, FC Argeș coach
It will be a very difficult match. We must remain calm, organized and react quickly to counterattacks. In such duels, the details make the difference.
We are a family. The supporters help us a lot, especially when the hard times come. They push us forward and give us energy.
– Rober Sierra, FC Argeș midfielder, according to the quoted source
It will be a difficult match, we meet a strong team. We have to be very focused and raise our level to get a good result. The atmosphere in the dressing room is very good, we are united and ready.
– Franck Tchassem, FC Argeș striker
George Ciorceri, Pancu's assistant, is optimistic: “The atmosphere is good, we hope to continue like this”
George Ciorceri, the man who holds the UEFA PRO license at CFR Cluj, until Daniel Pancu solves this bureaucratic obstacle, prefaced the match with FC Argeș:
“The atmosphere is good, the boys are happy after the victory over the leader. We have a very difficult match, FC Argeș is a pleasant surprise so far.
It's a good team, and we go there focused and determined. He is a formidable opponent and we want to counter him. We focus on our game and hope to get as many points as possible to be in the play-offs.
I collaborate well with Daniel Pancu. He is very well prepared, has optimism and fits our team. He brought enthusiasm, which was seen in the two victories, and we hope to continue like this for at least another 10 stages”, Ciorceri pointed out, according to Ziua de Cluj.
