Mihăiță Pleșan, former important footballer at the beginning of the millennium in Romanian football, close to the University of Craiova, being an impresario and involved in the club's transfer strategy, discussed with GSP about last night's historic success of Olten, 1-0 with Mainz.
The former “pearl” from Bănie sent two essential messages after the success of the University of Craiova: the continuity left by Mirel Rădoi and the clarification of the mystery of the scouts present in the stands.
The former midfielder believes that the team's good form cannot be attributed solely to the new coach, stating that “many of the things Mirel did can be seen even now” and that it is impossible that the changes could have been made in such a short space of time. The atmosphere was like always in Craiova! It's nothing new.
It is too early to talk about how inspired Coelho's appointment was. I think that many of the things done by Mirel can be seen even now. You can't change that much in two weeks. I think that these victories also bear the imprint of Mirel Rădoi, for all the work he has done in Craiova. No matter who comes in, there's no way you can change that much in such a short time.
I only know about the scouts that I brought, I don't know about the rest. There were several concrete offers for Baiaram, even before the one from Turkey. Any player from Craiova can leave in the winter, if the right amount is received. Those who came at my invitation looked at all the Craiova players, not just one. There are many good and interesting players in Craiova at the moment, attractive to many teams.
