Mihai Stoica (60 years old), the president of the FCSB Board of Directors, revealed that Denis Alibec (34 years old) underwent an operation to remove a cyst and is very unlikely to play again this year.

FCSB still has 6 matches to play in this calendar year, 4 of which are in the Super League: away with Farul, at home with Dinamo, away with Unirea Slobozia and at home with Rapid. The titular champion of the Super League will also play in the Romanian Cup group, away with UTA, and a match in the single group of the Europa League, at home with Feyenoord.

Mihai Stoica: “Denis Alibec doesn't think he will play again in December”

Denis Alibec underwent an operation to remove a cyst. I don't think he will play again in December. He has a period of rest, after which he will start training, but to regain his sports form to be able to play again I don't think it is the case“, said Mihai Stoica, according to fanatik.ro.

Brought back to FCSB this summer, Denis Alibec made just 13 appearances in all competitions, but was not a regular in any of those matches.

In fact, the striker ticked only one decisive pass, which came in the victory with Go Ahead Eagles in the first leg of the Europa League, score 1-0, where he served David Miculescu ideally. The only goal scored by Alibec came in the Romanian Cup victory with Gloria Bistrița, score 3-1, when he opened the scoring in the 26th minute from a penalty kick.

Denis Alibec will be 35 years old on January 5, 2026.

I don't know if we still count on Alibec. Now it is possible to enter, let's see. No matter how many times I put it in, it did nothing. I'm afraid to put it in. I'm afraid it doesn't do anything again!
