Football Champions League: Chivu brought down the military from the bridge, after Inter Milan lost dramatically to Atletico Madrid

Inter Milan, a team coached by the Romanian Cristian Chivu, was dramatically defeated by Atletico Madrid, with a score of 2-1, on Wednesday evening, at the Metropolitano, in the fifth stage of the Champions League in football.

Chivu can be tough too
Inter dominated the game for most of the time but suffered in finishing. Atletico opened the scoring through Argentine world champion Julian Alvarez (9), at the end of a counterattack, but the “nerazzurri” equalized through Polish Piotr Zielinski (54).
The vice-champion of Italy and Europe had a few more good opportunities, she sent the ball over the bar through Barella (46), but she conceded a goal in practically the last phase, Uruguayan defender Jose Maria Gimenez (90+3) scoring after a corner executed by Griezmann.
In the end, Chivu changed the board. He showed his critical face after being a “good boy” and praised everyone. He said that “the plan i had didn't work. Whoever entered the field could give more“. The technician feels that, once entered into the vortex of failures, it is difficult to get out of there.
Inter is at its second consecutive failure, after losing to AC Milan (0-1) in Serie A on Sunday.
PSV Eindhoven, with Romanian striker Dennis Man on the field for 89 minutes, produced the surprise of the day, beating Liverpool 4-1, right at Anfield. Ivan Perisic (6 – penalty), Guus Til (56) and Couhaib Driouech (73, 90+1) scored the goals of the Dutch champions, while Dominik Szoboszlai (16) scored for the “cormorants”.
Real Madrid, the record holders of trophies, won in Greece with a spectacular 4-3 against Olympiakos Piraeus. All the Spaniards' goals were scored by the French Kylian Mbappe (22, 24, 29, 60), the author of a very quick hat-trick. Xabi Alonso's side shone in attack but suffered in defence, conceding three goals and being subject to emotions towards the end.
Reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain prevailed 5-3 over Tottenham after trailing 1-0 and 2-1. Vitinha managed a hat-trick for the Parisians (45, 53, 76 – penalty), the other goals being signed by Fabian Ruiz (59), Willian Pacho (65). Randal Kolo Muani, the former PSG striker, scored a double for the Londoners (50, 72), the other goal being scored by the Brazilian Richarlison (35). Brazilian Marquinhos played his 500th career match for PSG.
Arsenal remained the only team with maximum points, after beating Bayern Munich 3-1. Jurrien Timber, Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli scored for the Gunners, while young Lennart Karl scored for Bayern. Bayern suffered their first defeat of the season in any competition.
Atalanta won on a forfeit (3-0) in Frankfurt with Eintracht, the goals being scored within six minutes by Ademola Lookman (60), Ederson (62) and Charles De Ketelaere (65).
An equally clear victory was achieved by Sporting Lisbon, 3-0 against FC Bruges, the goals being scored by Geovany Quenda (24), Luis Javier Suarez (31) and Francisco Trincao (70).
