Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov have fired back at each other, with the Irishman resuming his verbal war against his old rival.

The reason for the attacks was a recent announcement by Nurmagomedov on the Telegram social network, where he announced an auction for a new NFT collection, called “Papaha”. On Wednesday, the retired former UFC lightweight champion revealed that the digital currency had been sold in full.

This prompted a backlash from McGregor, who has been Nurmagomedov's biggest rival in his career and obviously still feels that way.

Conor McGregor attacked Khabib Nurmagomedov: “Apologise immediately”

“Couldn't the good Khabib have used his dead father's name, as well as the culture of Dagestan, to scam his fans, sell a bunch of digital NFTs online and then delete all the content leaving his fans robbed? It's just not possible for a good man to do that,” McGregor wrote.

Nurmagomedov responded to the Irishman's post, stating that McGregor would do anything to tarnish his name, while also posting a sort of promotional clip for the platform and the NFT collection.

“You are an absolute liar,” Nurmagomedov wrote. “You will always try to besmirch my name after you were destroyed that night, but you will never succeed! Yeah, good guys don't do that. They don't create exclusive digital gifts with real value that you can share with your friends and family.

Gifts in the form of a papaha, a hat that symbolizes the traditions and culture of the Dagestani people. Traditions and culture slowly conquering this world whether you like it or not! Gifts you can find exclusively on Telegram, the world's largest messaging platform,” he added.

Of course, McGregor didn't leave it at that and was quick to have the last word.

Apologize immediately for using your dead father's name to sell these gifts that cost your fans so much money“, replied the Irishman.

“Besides, selling something means it's not a gift! It's the exact opposite of a gift. Stupid, stupid, stupid, ha-ha-ha. Cheating in your dead father's name. Shame.”

Nurmagomedov faced McGregor in the biggest main event in UFC history at UFC 229 in October 2018. The bout was completely dominated by the Dagestan fighter, who eventually forced the former two-division champion to submit in the fourth round.
