Nicușor Dan says he has seen a change at ANAF on tax evasion. “I think we are somewhere between 15-20% of what can be done”
President Nicușor Dan declared, on Wednesday, November 26, that on tax evasion he saw a change at ANAF and progress on the digitization side.

“On tax evasion we have seen a change at ANAFwe saw some progress on the digitization side and we saw some targeted actions. I think we are somewhere between 15-20% of what can be done, in the direction of combating tax evasion. But there were some steps forward”, said President Nicusor Dan, at the Parliament.
He specified that “it's not grandma's jam that's the big escape.”
“Not grandma's jam is the big break, by no means. There are chains of large evasion, there is VAT evasion and intra-Community evasion…
So we know the evasion zones. We don't have, or are just starting to have, the electronic means to get us exactly to the point of evasion so that we can take action.”the president emphasized.
