Toni Fota, physiotherapist for the national gymnastics team, claims he was “forced, humiliated, cursed and threatened” by Camelia Voinea. There is also a complaint from the Greek on behalf of the coach.

New details are coming to light about Camelia Voinea, the mother and coach of gymnast Sabrina Voinea, in the context of the scandals that shook Romanian gymnastics this year. In October, Denisa Golgotă, gymnast from the national team, stated that she was harassed, physically and mentally, implying that it was the Voinea family.

Later, this month, images emerged of Camelia Voinea verbally abusing her daughter several years ago. Following this year's scandals, The Romanian Gymnastics Federation decided to dissolve the national teamsat least until the beginning of next year. Then, 5 gymnasts submitted a collective memorandum to ANS for the federation to reconsider the decision to dissolve the groups.

Now, Toni Fota reveals that he was cursed by Camelia Voinea. He made a complaint to the Romanian Gymnastics Federationbut this was not registered, according to golazo.ro.

Toni Fota: “Camelia Voinea broke the timetable from the wall”

The incident he's talking about happened in early September. At the “Lia Manoliu” complex, two teams train, one coached by Camelia Voinea, another coached by Corina Moroșan.

Fota is a physiotherapist in the second batch, that of Corina Moroșanu. The two lots share, according to a predetermined schedule, the recovery room at “Lia Manoliu”. Fota told how the timetable was violated by Camelia Voinea. This is where the Greek's conflict with the coach started.

“Before the incident, on August 30, I agreed with Răzvan Spirescu (Sabrina Voinea's masseur) that between 19-21 I could use the cabinet for recovery. My work schedule does not allow me to work with the girls before that time. He agreed. So I should have worked with Sabrina before that time.

That was a schedule agreed by Mrs. Voinea and Mrs. Corina Moroșan. Strictly for training. And the girls told me that, one day, Camelia Voinea tore it from the wall. I don't know exactly how they overlapped on a machine and Sabrina didn't want to wait for the girl on the machine to finish“, says Fota, according to the mentioned source.

Toni Fota: “I woke up with Mrs. Voinea in the office, screaming that Sabrina is a priority”

The Greek continued: “I don't know why Sabrina hadn't done recovery until the time I went in to work with the girls. On the recovery bed was Denisa (no – Denisa Golgotă). And I woke up with Mrs. Voinea in the office, screaming that Sabrina is a priority, that the devices belong to Mrs. Bitang, from the program “Country, country we want champions”. And the other girls should get off. I'm not talking about the language used!

An offensive one to me. Cursing! He also blocked the entrance, so that no other girl would enter after I finished with Denisa. I mean he put his chair by the door, sat down and waited until I finished with Denisa so Sabrina could come in afterwards. I simply released after that, there was no point in continuing the discussion with her”.

“He threatened me with Mrs. Mariana Bitang”

“I tried to speak politely, to explain to her that I had set up another schedule with Mr. Răzvan Spirescu (masseur in lot 1). She replied that she was not interested, that if I did not leave the recovery room, Mrs. Mariana Bitang would call me.

He threatened me with Mrs. Bitang because the devices in the recovery room are purchased through the “Country, country we want champions” program. I don't know exactly what Mrs. Voinea meant, because I don't think that Mrs. Bitang would not want all the girls to benefit from those devices.

Denisa got off the table before we finished all the recovery procedures. Because the girls also went into shock. I mean, Anamaria Mihăescu was in line, waiting to go in after Denisa, and they both left crying. It was terrible“, Toni Fota also declared.

“She told me I was going to fuck my mother”

Fota also provided details about the language used by Camelia Voinea.

“I saw Sabrina come out of the room with the phone in her hand, talking to Mrs. Voinea. That's all I remember. She left the room and then after a few minutes Camelia Voinea appeared angry and everything that happened that day happened.

All culminating in swearing. Mi-a spus că mă duc în p**** mamei mele. And even though I'm Greek, I know what that means,” he also declared.
