This is how Polish doctors earn compared to Europe. There is a new report


“DGP” reports that it has received a report on the earnings of doctors and nurses in regulated remuneration systems, which the FPP will present at the plenary meeting of the tripartite health team.
According to the daily, the report shows that the earnings of doctors and nurses are actually not inferior to those of their colleagues from wealthier Western European countries: Denmark, Norway and Great Britain.

How much does a doctor earn in Poland? Here are the rates
“In Poland the minimum salary of a full-time specialist is PLN 11.86 thousand. PLN, doctor without specialization – PLN 9.74 thousand. PLN, and for trainees – PLN 7.77 thousand. zloty“- we read in the diary.
For comparison, it is recommended, among others, Great Britain. “A doctor during specialization training can count on an average of GBP 54.3 thousand per year, which is the equivalent of PLN 22.1 thousand per month. Specialists and senior physician assistants earn the equivalent of PLN 24.1-43.7 thousand, and full specialists at the highest clinical level earn PLN 44.8-59.4 thousand.” – we read in the diary.

How much does a doctor earn in Norway and Denmark? The rates are lower, but so are the costs
In Norway – as “DGP” points out – “a primary care doctor can count on an annual salary of CZK 1.06 million per year, which is PLN 32.2 thousand per month. A specialist outside primary care, e.g. in a hospital or specialist clinic, receives a minimum of PLN 38.6 thousand per month.”
In Denmark, a doctor undergoing specialization can count on PLN 440,000-555,000. crowns per year, i.e. 11.7-14.8 thousand. PLN per month, and the specialist for approx. PLN 35.6 thousand. zloty.

“As the authors of the report prove, these rates are nominally higher than in Poland, but the costs of living in the mentioned countries significantly exceed our costs of living” – we read in “DGP”.
The daily reminds that in October the Ministry of Health proposed that contractors could earn a maximum of PLN 250 per hour in hospitals. and 48 thousand monthly.
