Five criminal cases were filed for possession and use pyrotechnic materialsincluding one on prevention and control trafficking and illicit drug use.

In total, the fines reached 35,700 lei, of which the amount of 30,000 lei applied to the organizer of the event.

Measures taken during the match:

Following the violation of the legal provisions in force, the gendarmes drew up 5 notification documents to the criminal investigation bodies, in accordance with the provisions of Law no. 126 of 1995 regarding the regime of explosive substances and an act of referral to criminal investigation bodies, in accordance with the provisions of Law no. 143 of 2000 on preventing and combating drug trafficking and illicit consumption.

At the same time, the gendarmes applied 5 contraventional sanctions, in total amount of 35,700 lei.

We underline the fact that, of these, two contraventional sanctions, totaling 30,000 lei, were applied to the organizer of the sports event, and one contraventional sanction, worth 5,000 lei, was applied to the specialized security and protection company, for non-compliance with their obligations.

Next, checks are made to identify and sanction other persons who violated the legal framework in force.

Problems with pyrotechnic materials since the break

Since the break of the match, the Gendarmerie issued a statement regarding the sanctions for those who tried to enter the stadium with pyrotechnic materials. It is about 5 supporters of the visiting team.

“During access to the North Lawn, 5 away fans were spotted with pyrotechnic materials on them.

In the case, the necessary documents were drawn up for notification to the criminal investigation bodies, in accordance with the provisions of Law no. 126 of 1995 regarding the regime of explosive substances.

In this way, we draw attention to the fact that the use of pyrotechnic materials represents a danger for the safety of all participants in sports events”, the representatives of the Gendarmerie said.
