Why ANRE, ASF and parliamentarians are exempt from the ban on pension-salary cumulation. Florin Manole: “They are elected positions”

“The offices you spoke of are elected offices and they express the will of the citizens who voted in one office or another,” stated Florin Manole, at Antena 3.
According to the official, the draft law does not apply to doctors and teachers either and is limited to people who do not have contributory pensions, establishing that 15% of them can be kept for non-contributory pensions.
“It does not apply to doctors and teachers. The original project was like that. Meanwhile, the project is much fairer and more correct and does not apply to those who have contributory pensions. In summary, we do not have a rule that penalizes those with contributory pensions. We have an article that claims that for non-contributory pensions, 15% of this part can be kept”, Florin Manole also said.
The Bolojan government launched in public consultation the draft law that prohibits the cumulation of pension with salary for public sector employees, targeting in particular service pensions and military pensions.
The document was published on the website of the Ministry of Labor and clearly sets out the applicable conditions and exceptions.
