Cătălin Straton, the goalkeeper from FC Argeș, believes that his team was better in the match with Craiovascore 1-2, and would have deserved to win.

Cătălin Straton is very confident that Bogdan Andone's team has the necessary strength to enter the play-offs this season. After 17 matches, Argeș is 5th, with 27 points.

Cătălin Straton, after FC Argeș – Craiova: “We deserved the victory”

“We lived with the thought that we would win, I think we deserved to win after the game we showed. There were two inattentions, we conceded goals, it's hard to turn Craiova back. Maybe it was possible more, maybe it wasn't, the important thing is that we were left with 0 points.

Our game looks good though. If we remain as obedient, we will make points. Craiova didn't seem superior to me at all. We discussed tactical things, a little nervousness, like in football, nothing out of the ordinary. I am convinced that we will manage to reach the play-offs, because we are playing.

If we keep playing like this, we'll get there. There is pressure, you play at FC Argeș, it's a big club, it's normal to have pressure, but it's just football, nothing else. We need to strengthen this place and show it is not accidental.

Goals are scored from the goal line, from 20 meters, it doesn't matter… EI'm a little frustrated, whatever you say, we looked better than Craiova today. I can guarantee that we will give everything starting with the next day of training”, said Cătălin Straton, at Prima Sport.

When we play against big teams like Craiova, you don't have to give them a chance to score and we made a few mistakes. We had nothing left to lose, we were being led. We had many chances, but we failed to score.

It's not about personal mistakes, we're a team. Maybe I could do more in their goal, stop the action. It's not our goal to be in this position, but we take it match by match, all the teams are good, it's competition.
