Krasnoyarsk Territory received an additional 7.7 billion rubles for social support

The federal budget for 2026-2028 for the Krasnoyarsk Territory provides an additional 7.7 billion rubles for social support of the population. This was reported by the governor's press service.
At the Krasnoyarsk Demographic Forum, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Anton Kotyakov and the head of the region Mikhail Kotyukov discussed the priority areas of social policy in the region. The governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory informed the federal minister about the large-scale modernization of infrastructure in municipalities and the expansion of measures to support the population. Additional funds from the federal budget will make a significant contribution to this work.
Taking into account the new allocations, the total amount of targeted funding will reach 16.3 billion rubles. More than 8 billion rubles will be allocated to pay for housing and communal services for certain categories of citizens, 5.1 billion – to provide assistance to people within the framework of social contracts, 1.5 billion – to create a system of long-term care for the elderly and disabled. Another 0.9 billion rubles are intended for the construction of a residential building of the Solnechny boarding house in Krasnoyarsk.

The parties also discussed training of personnel for the demographic sphere. On the basis of Siberian Federal University, with the support of the Institute of Demographic Research of the Federal Scientific Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Yenisei Regional Center was created, which analyzes fertility factors and social well-being of the region’s residents. Researchers have already presented the results of a study of the reasons for the decline in fertility among women of reproductive age and have developed approaches to the formation of regional demographic programs.
This year’s list of projects includes research into rural families, migration sentiment among young people, and conditions that can stimulate an increase in the birth rate. Mikhail Kotyukov expressed hope for federal support for the initiative to open a specialty program in Demography at SFU.
The parties also discussed the training of specialists for developing industries in the field of demography. With the support of the Institute of Demographic Research of the Federal Scientific Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Yenisei Regional Center was created on the basis of Siberian Federal University. Sociological studies are conducted there that take into account the specifics of population reproduction in Yenisei Siberia.
Experts have already assessed the reasons for the decline in the birth rate among women of active reproductive age in the region and have developed methodological approaches to the design of regional demographic programs. This year’s list of research projects includes an analysis of factors in the social well-being of rural families, migration attitudes of students, and conditions that may affect the increase in the birth rate in families in the region.
Mikhail Kotyukov emphasized that he counts on the support of his federal colleagues in the initiative to open a specialty program in the field of “Demography” on the basis of SFU.
