The UEFA Disciplinary Committee announced punishments against Gigi Becali (67 years old), his boss FCSBand to Mihai Stoica (60 years old), the president of the club's Board of Directors, following the Europa League preliminaries match with Aberdeen, won at the National Arena with a score of 3-0, on August 28.
The victory with Aberdeen secured FCSB qualification in the single group of the Europa League, and this was the last match in which Gigi Becali was present at the stadium.
At halftime, when FCSB was ahead on the table, score 1-0, Gigi Becali started dancing in the box and stopped only at Mihai Stoica's suggestion. At the end of the match, the landowner from Pipera got on the car, in his characteristic style.
UEFA considered that the two of them are guilty of “violation of the fundamental rules of decent conduct and failure to respect the principles of loyalty, integrity and sportsmanship”.

FCSB were fined €30,000 shortly after the match ended, and part of the stadium was closed for the Young Boys match due to racist displays by fans.
The report was prepared by the representative of FARE (Football Against Racism in Europe), and Mihai Stoica raged after this.
The FARE representative – as usual – looked for spots in the night lighting installation and found them. Long after the game with Aberdeen (for which we were congratulated by UEFA) was over, the man filmed some supporters singing the fast-paced hit for a few seconds.
Ring 1 of our gallery will be closed at the match with Young Boys Bern due to racism. Plus a fine of €30,000. With a comma, not a period. In this way, we thank the Romanian collaborators of FARE… it feels like you are patriots and always with this team. At the same time, I have a vague feeling that someone is directing this stuff
