Real Madrid player Vinicius Junior (25) has been criticized by former French football great Emmanuel Petit for his behavior on the football field.
Emmanuel Petit played for clubs such as Arsenal and Barcelona, and in 1998 he won the world title with the French national team, becoming European champion two years later. In an interview, the Frenchman took aim at Vinicius, the Real Madrid player, who has attracted attention through several controversial behaviours, including gestures at the most recent El Clasico where he was very angry at being substituted and swore at his coach, an incident for which he later apologized publicly.

Emmanuel Petit claims that since Vinicius lost the Ballon d'Or race to Manchester City star Rodri and Kylian Mbappe arrived in Madrid, the Brazilian has been complaining. He believes that jealousy is behind his behavior.
“The king is now Kylian Mbappe. Vinícius is upset because he is winning less and the team is built around Kylian Mbappe. Jude Bellingham has reacted more professionally and is scoring again. Aren't you happy at Real Madrid, the biggest team in the world? Then go to a smaller club and be the star there!”, said Emmanuel Petit, according to sport.aktuality.sk.
Vinicius joined Real Madrid in 2018 from Flamengo at the age of 18. Since then the Brazilian has made 338 appearances for the senior team, scoring 111 goals and providing 87 assists. And this season Vinicius started right: he played in 16 games, scored 5 times and provided 4 decisive assists. It is quoted by specialized websites at 150 million euros. The Real Madrid player is also an important part of the Brazilian national team: he has 45 matches and 8 goals scored.
