Cole Palmer, 23, injured himself again, fracturing a toe in his own home. That means the Chelsea star will not be available for the crucial matches against Arsenal (Premier League) and Barcelona (Champions League).

Chelsea attacking midfielder/right winger Cole Palmer has been out of action for two months as he recovers from a groin injury.

Palmer had returned to training and would normally have been fit for the fiery spell ahead of Chelsea, but he picked up another injury, this time at home. Trainer Enzo Maresca revealed that Palmer fractured a toe by hitting his own home.

“Definitely won't be available on Saturday (no – with Burnley, in the Premier League), with Barcelona and Arsenal. Unfortunately, he had an accident at home. He hit his finger. It's nothing serious, but it won't come back in the next week,” Maresca said, according to the BBC.

There are very important matches for Chelsea, especially the championship duel with Arsenal, the leader in the Premier League. Wins against Burnley and Arsenal would move the Blues to within 3 points of the Gunners.

Palmer has only played 4 games this season, having been bothered by those groin problems since August. Scored two goals in 4 appearances, 1-3 with Bayern Munich and 2-2 with Brentford in the Premier League.
