Krasnoyarsk businessman Egorov will not get back 157 million rubles of overpayment of damages in a criminal case

The Arbitration Court of the Krasnoyarsk Territory refused to satisfy the claim againstRasnoyarsk construction company “Sibiryak” of businessman Vladimir Egorov to the regional Ministry of Education. The company demanded to recover more than 157 million rubles, the court’s press service reports.

Vladimir Egorov, accused of embezzlement during the construction of a school in Ilanskoye, transferred 391.7 million rubles to the ministry, although the amount of damage caused was 249.2 million. Thus, an extra 142 million rubles ended up in the budget.
In addition, the company calculated 15 million rubles as interest for using other people's money. In total, Egorov demanded that 157 million rubles be returned to him.
On November 20, the court announced its decision, completely dismissing the claim. The decision has not yet entered into legal force and can be appealed.
