The mountain rescuers from Prahova warn that there is a consistent layer of snow in the high mountain area and advise tourists to climb properly equipped.

“A new layer of snow deposited in the mountain area, starting with the altitude of 1200 m. On the Bucegi Plateau, it is approximately 15 cm, above the already existing one,” Salvamont Prahova reported on Wednesday.

Mountain rescuers warn that high-altitude mountain tourist routes remain closed.

“We advise tourists going up with the means of cable transport from Valea Prahova to be equipped for winter. Inform yourself in advance about their operating schedule and about the state of the weather,” the quoted source added.

Meteorologists announce that a layer of snow is being deposited in the entire mountain area, in some areas it exceeds 15 centimeters.
