Krasnoyarsk police installed the identity of a man suspected of defrauding buyers from different regions of Russia for more than on 500 thousand rubles.
The press service said that at the end of 2022, a previously unconvicted resident of the Omsk region came up with a criminal scheme. He posted an advertisement on the Internet for the sale of spare parts for foreign cars, although he had no opportunity to supply them.
“Buyers from different cities began to contact him with the intention of purchasing spare parts. The victims were informed of the need to pay 100% of the goods by transfer to a bank card. After receiving the money, the accused informed customers that the spare parts had been sent, after which he stopped communicating with them», — told the police.
Without waiting for the goods, buyers contacted the police in their region. In all these cases, criminal cases were initiated under Part. 2 tbsp. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud”. Now they are combined into one production in a specialized department of the Krasnoyarsk Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
Employees of the Krasnoyarsk criminal investigation department have already found out the identity of the 40-year-old attacker and his whereabouts. In total, 12 people from different regions of Russia suffered from the actions of a resident of the Omsk region. The total damage amounted to 506 thousand rubles.
The criminal investigation has now been completed. The accused was given a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior.
