A system for creating medical districts is being discussed in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

November 19 11:12

Deputy Minister of Health of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexey Konovalenko discussed the planned reform of the system with the staff of the Kansk and Boguchansk hospitals.

The press service of the regional Ministry of Health reminded that medical districts should help eliminate administrative barriers between medical institutions. Patients will have the opportunity to seek primary and specialized medical care where it is more convenient, and not just to the institution at the place of attachment. As an example, Alexey Konovalenko cited the situation in the Boguchansky district, where residents of remote villages are geographically closer to Kodinsk, but they cannot receive planned care there, being attached to the Boguchansky district hospital.

Alexey Konovalenko emphasized that the changes are of an organizational and managerial nature. The goal is not cuts, but the most efficient spending of all budget funds allocated for health care in the interests of patients.

“The concept is under active discussion, and there is no timeline for completion of this project yet. There are a lot of questions, so we are carefully studying the opinions of residents, the medical community and the situation on the ground,” said Alexey Konovalenko.

The Deputy Minister explained that all existing infrastructure – first aid stations, medical outpatient clinics, local and district hospitals – will be preserved and will continue to operate at the same level.

“The meetings were held in the format of an open dialogue. Doctors actively participated in the discussion, asked questions and shared specific situations from practice. In particular, topics were raised such as the effectiveness of personnel policy, the economic feasibility of certain types of medical care, digitalization of office work and transport accessibility for people with limited mobility and cancer patients,” the press service noted.

Alexey Konovalenko assured that all voiced proposals and problems will be carefully analyzed and taken into account in further work. Similar meetings with teams of medical institutions will be held in other territories of the region.
