Mainz 05, the next opponent of Craiova University in the Conference League, is organizing a trip for fans interested in supporting the team in the duel in Banie. Germans are also urged to visit the “famous Christmas market”, which opens on November 14.
The Blues' next European match will pit them against Mainz 05, who are second to bottom in the Bundesliga.
For the duel in Bănie, the German club organized, together with a travel agency, a trip intended for supporters who want to support the team in the white-blue fiefdom.

The package costs 529 euros per person, equivalent to 2,690 lei at today's BNR exchange rate. It includes return charter flights Frankfurt -> Craiova -> Frankfurt, match ticket and transport from the stadium to the airport and vice versa. Departure from Frankfurt is scheduled for Thursday (November 27) in the morning at 08:00.
In the presentation of the package, the club informs its supporters that “upon arrival in Craiova you will have time to explore the city, maybe visit the famous Christmas market, which opens at noon“.
The return flight to Germany is scheduled for Friday morning at 05:10. Basically, straight home from the match, without overnight accommodation.
For those only interested in match tickets, the club announced that “they are still available to season ticket holders and club members, at the price of 11 euros“.
Supporters, dismayed by the price
The club's proposed package was not warmly received by supporters, with many expressing dismay at the prices. “600 euros and not even an overnight stay? what the hell”, one user asked on social media.
“Simply way too expensive. If you organize something on your own, it's cheaper and you have more time,” wrote another.
