When the time comes for renovation, most people are faced with the problem of removing old wallpaper from the walls. Usually we use scrapers, spatulas, buckets of water and endless soaking, which take away strength and nerves.
But there is a simple way that really works and saves a lot of time. This method turned out to be so effective that you can safely recommend it to all your friends and acquaintances who are planning a renovation.
Instead of thoroughly wetting the walls and waiting for the glue to soften, just run a steamer over the surface of the old wallpaper.
How to use
- Heat up the steamer.
- Slowly rub it over the surface of the old wallpaper.
- Wait a few seconds for the steam to saturate the adhesive layer.
- Pry up the edge of the wallpaper with a spatula and remove the canvas. It comes off almost entirely.
The steam instantly softens the adhesive layer, and the wallpaper literally peels off on its own. All you have to do is carefully pry them off with a spatula. No puddles of water, no scraps of paper stuck tightly to the wall.
Try this method, and you will spend much less time and effort, and the walls will remain as clean as possible.
