Accident between a minibus and a car in Vestem, Sibiu county. Six women were taken to the hospital / The Red Intervention Plan was activated

A minibus carrying 11 people and a car collided on Tuesday morning in the town of Veștem, Sibiu county. Following the accident, the Red Intervention Plan was activated, and six women who were injured were taken to the hospital, announces ISU Sibiu.

The accident took place on DN 1 Brașov-Sibiu, at kilometer 299+500 meters, near the town of Veștem, according to the InfoTraffic Center of the Romanian Police.

According to the ISU, 12 people were involved (11 in the minibus and 1 in the car). For the efficient management of the event, the Red Intervention Plan was activated at the level of Sibiu county, which was later deactivated.

Following the medical evaluation, 6 people need medical assistance, the other 6 people involved in the accident refused transport to the hospital.

6 women between the ages of 42 and 56 were transported to UPU Sibiu “with minor trauma, contusions and abrasions, all of them being conscious”, according to ISU Sibiu.

Road traffic is being made difficult, alternatively in one direction, according to the Infotraffic Centre.
