The publication’s interlocutor noted that now precisely two people’s deputies are considered as the main contenders for the post of head of the Ministry of Energy.
At the same time, the head of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, Sergei Koretsky, who was previously considered the main candidate, is no longer applying for the position. According to media reports, he is not interested in moving to the executive branch, so his candidacy was actually excluded from the discussion.
Another source of RBC-Ukraine reported that just yesterday Gerus and Zhupanin were not on the list of main candidates. According to him, “if the option of appointing Koretsky to the post of head of the Ministry of Energy does not work, then they will look for other candidates.”
