Sunflower oil has risen in price in Russia due to a shortage of palm oil
Export prices for sunflower oil increased by 40%, which led to its rise in price in Russia: this affects domestic prices, which have increased by 25% since September.
This is all due to the rise in world prices for palm oil, which has risen in price by about a third since the beginning of the year. This stimulates an increase in demand for sunflower seeds.
